Trying to picture yourself in clothes when shopping online isn't easy, especially if you’re experimenting with looks outside your usual comfort zone, or ordering from a new brand. That’s where our virtual try-on comes in, helping you see how clothing appears on you before you purchase.

How do I use Virtual Try-On?

To use Virtual Try-On, complete the following steps:

  1. Find a product that offers Virtual Try-On. Eligible products are indicated with the Virtual Try-On icon.

  2. Click on the Virtual Try-On icon.

  3. Upload an image of yourself or use one of your Parallel posts as the image. Ensure you follow the image tips below.

  4. The Virtual Try-On will automatically generate a new image of you wearing the item!

What image should I use for Virtual Try-On?

Choose images with:

  • Only you in the frame

  • Full body visible (head to at least mid-thigh)

  • Natural standing pose, arms relaxed

  • Clear view of your body shape

  • Similar garment type to what you're trying on

Avoid images with:

  • Other people in the shot

  • Crossed arms, legs, or twisted poses

  • Phone blocking your face or body

  • Heavy layering (coats when trying on tees)

  • Only upper body or cropped shots

What products should I use for Virtual Try-On?

Virtual Try-On works best when the original garment image shows the item on a model or mannequin. Flat-lay and hanger images may not render as accurately on your body as ghost mannequin or real model images.
